Need an Updated Background Check? [Instructions]
OPTION 1: EXTENDING A RESIDENT EDUCATOR LICENSE
If your resident educator license is expiring and you have not yet completed the requirement of teacher residency in Ohio, on or before June 30, apply to EXTEND your resident educator license.
The District submits completion criteria to the Ohio Department of Education in early May of each year. You will be notified via email by Dijana Zeljkovic, Human Resources Associate, once that completion criteria is submitted. At that time, follow these instructions to EXTEND your resident educator license.
Log in to your OH|ID account and find the CORE application [CORE User's Manual].

Under My Credentials, click Apply for a NEW credential.

Choose "Take action on my EXISTING credential."

Select "Extend My Credential."

Follow the prompts and pay for your new credential.

Provide a copy of your new credential to the Dijana Zeljkovic.
Option 2: Advancing a Resident Educator License
Once you have successfully completed the requirements of teacher residency in the State of Ohio and your completion criteria have been verified with the Ohio Department of Education, you are ready to ADVANCE from a resident educator license to a professional license.
The District submits completion criteria to the Ohio Department of Education in early May of each year. You will be notified via email by the Dijana Zeljkovic, Human Resources Associate, once that completion criteria is submitted. At that time, follow these instructions to ADVANCE your resident educator license.
On or before June 30, apply to ADVANCE to a 5-year professional license.

Select "Advance My Credential."

Follow the prompts and pay for your new credential.

Join the Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC)
In order to renew your 5-year professional license, you will need to earn renewal credit through the Green LPDC. Each building has an LPDC representative who can provide you with advice and assistance as you determine what type of renewal credit to pursue. Once you have obtained your 5-year professional license from the Ohio Department of Education, REGISTER with the Green Local School District Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC). [Instructions are included in the LPDC Handbook.]

CREATE and SUBMIT an Individual Professional Development Plan.
Going forward, you may also qualify as a Consistently High Performing Teacher (CHPT). For more information about the CHPT criteria, please review the information at this link.
