District Wide PBIS Initiatives

Be Safe Be Kind Be Responsible Be Bulldog Strong

At Green Local Schools, we have established a set of universal expectations for behavior: Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be Bulldog Strong. Each building has developed a matrix that explicitly explains our expectations.  Expectations are positively stated and have been established for all students in all locations of the school. These expectations promote core values such as safety, kindness, and responsibility. Our school-wide expectations are built on the principles that all students conduct themselves in a way that is safe, kind, and responsible…this is what we call being “BulldogStrong”.  Each building takes time to teach students what it means to be BulldogStrong.

Positive behavior is acknowledged, rewarded, and celebrated daily.  In fact, when students follow the expectations, they are recognized.  Below you will see the way each building acknowledges student behavior.  Students learn the value of working together and that being safe, kind, and responsible will lead to success.

Greenwood Early Learning Center is a demonstration site for the state in PBIS and has received the Gold Award for their implementation of all 3 tiers of PBIS.  All buildings are working hard on implementation and are recognized in the region for their work with PBIS.

Green Middle School/Green High School

GMS-GHS PBIS

At Green Middle School and Green High School  students scan a QR code when they are demonstrating Safe, Kind, or Responsible behaviors.  The QR code prompts our students to complete a form explaining what they were acknowledged for.  This form enters their name into a weekly and monthly drawing for prizes. The buildings also work on building-wide goals.  If the building reaches a number of “scans” they have a building-wide celebration.
This promotes positive behavior and teamwork with all students.
