Through significant citizen participation in the strategic planning process, it was determined that Green residents want school buildings that better meet the needs of both our students and community. Green Local Schools worked with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) to develop a master facilities plan that would meet the needs identified by residents.
According to the evaluation conducted by the OFCC, three of Green Local’s five school buildings are in need of expensive repairs that are not financially viable.
The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s Two-Thirds Guideline sets the replace versus renovate standard for school facilities at two thirds (66%) the cost of a new building.
