Green Local Schools assesses the learning needs and academic achievement of each student regularly. Assessment practices include but are not limited to teacher observation, regular diagnostic and formative data collection, regular formative feedback, quarterly short-cycle assessments, common summative assessments, state performance-based assessments, and state end-of-year or end-of-course assessments.
Progress for students in grades K-2 is based on a developmental growth scale. From Kindergarten through grade 2, parents may monitor their children's progress through a web-based application called

Progress for students in grades 3-12 based on the Board of Education approved district grading scale. From grade 3 to grade 12, parents may monitor their children's progress through
Canvas, a web-based learning management system.
Canvas allows parents to engage in their students' education by viewing assignments, events, grades, teacher feedback, and direct communication with teachers. Parents may set up a Canvas account using a computer or cell phone following the Parent Canvas Guide's directions.
Parents of students grades K-12 may access report cards quarterly through
Progress Book.
