 The technology mission of the Green Local School District is to prepare students and staff to be 21st century learners by infusing technology into every aspect of their educational experience.
Technology Goals
Green Local Schools will provide staff development opportunities by training staff to feel confident and comfortable in a child-centered approach to using technology as an instructional tool and providing an on-going program of training to meet the individual needs of all district staff.
Green Local Schools will continue to explore and learn about new technology tools, use multiple assessment options to demonstrate knowledge (wikis, podcasts, video production, etc), and technology integration will be an on going collaborative effort.
Green Local Schools will adopt and continue to evaluate policies to support effective use of technology on a quarterly basis.
Green Local Schools will involve all community stakeholders with technology opportunities and encourage participation from the community/businesses.
Green Local Schools will provide centralized leadership to assess current resources:
- Funding
- Time (staff training)
- Infrastructure
- Electrical needs
- Facilities needs
- Physical resources
- Software
- Community
