Hall of Fame Weekend Starts Friday Night Sept. 13th at 6:00 PM
The 1986 AAA State Championship Track Team and 4 members of that team will be honored as the inaugural class of Green High School's new Hall of Fame starting on Friday night at Green Memorial Stadium The class — which includes head coach Francis Kelly, state champion 1,600 and 3,200-meter runner Mark Croghan, state champion pole vaulter Brian Kelly and state runner-up high jumper Mark McClure — will be inducted Saturday at 7 p.m. in the Green High School Auditorium. Admission is free.

Festivities start Friday night at the Maple Hts. football game with a tailgate reception sponsored by Legends of Green starting at 6:00 PM.   The 1986 team and the four inductees will be announced to the crowd at the end of the first quarter.

At half time the friends and family of Coach Francis Kelly along with former coaches Dan Drake, Eldon McVicker, and George Bennet will be on hand as a new stone plaque is unveiled at the gate of  the stadium honoring Coach Kelly and his years of service to the student athletes of Green. 

A golf outing sponsored by the Green All Sports Booster Club will be held at Raintree Country Club starting at 8 AM followed by a steak dinner on the grounds of the Club.  

That evening a reception will be held in the lobby of the school auditorium for family and friends of the 86 team and the Inductees starting at 6:00 PM.  The Induction ceremony will be held in the school auditorium at 7:00 PM.  The public is invited and the admission is free.
