    Virtual Meet the Teacher Night

    Virtual Meet the Teacher

    We are thrilled to host a Virtual Meet the Teacher Night for our in-person and Bulldog Digital Academy (BDA) students in Grades 4 & 5.  This event will take place online on August 24th at the times of 5:30, 6:15, and 7:00 p.m. Your child’s homeroom teacher will email you with more detailed information and a virtual meeting link.  We look forward to seeing you!

    We have prepared a GIS Quick Facts Sheet that may be helpful to you as it contains many essential details about our school.  Please note that all parent pick-ups will take place at the drop-off and pick-up area (east/stadium parking lot).

    If you are regularly picking up your child, please sign up to obtain a Bulldog Pick-Up Pass.

    Summer Learning Opportunities If you’re looking for some continued learning/enrichment opportunities for your child throughout the summertime, we encourage you to take a peek at the valuable materials below, prepared specifically with our GIS students in mind: 

    Technology Support for Families

    • Be sure to shut down and restart the Chromebook on a daily basis.  [Written instructions]  [Video instructions]
    • If you encounter a problem or issue with an assignment / online resource, students can connect with the classroom teacher during their class times for all options of learning: In-Person, Remote, and Bulldog Digital Academy.
    • Printing from a Chromebook is not an option.  Students should turn in electronic versions of assignments to teachers.
    • If you encounter WiFi Issue at home, please contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance.

    If you would like to contribute your codes to one of the Green Local Schools, you can set up an account and enter the codes yourself, or drop them off in the bins in the Greenwood, Primary or Intermediate School lobbies. There is also an opportunity to earn service hours within this program.
