    Optional Chromebook Insurance Offered to Families

    Optional Chromebook Insurance Coverage
    Green Local Schools has chosen Worth Ave. Group as the vendor to offer optional insurance coverage for a school-issued device given to students. Insurance with Worth Ave. Group will protect the device against an assortment of damages and help avoid costly repair charges. This insurance policy will provide full replacement cost coverage and will protect the item worldwide (on and off school grounds). This policy is also transferable to a replacement unit. It will be for the current school year.

    Coverage Includes:
    Accidental Damage (Drops & Spills)
    Cracked Screen
    Liquid Submersion
    Fire, Flood & Natural Disaster
    Power Surge By Lightning
    Theft & Vandalism

    It DOES NOT cover:
    Manufacturer Defect & Mechanical Failure
    Standard Wear & Tear
    Cosmetic Damage
    Unexplained Loss

    Cost this year is $21.00 for the school year, payable at time of registration.
    The average cost for a broken screen is $37 for each repair.
    Replacing the device is $200.
    - It is located on the bottom of the Chromebook. It is an orange or silver sticker with a 5 or 6 digit number.

    Deadline to purchase coverage: 9/25/2019
    Parents will sign up and pay for insurance on the site, but all claims will be handled by the school for them.

    All student drivers are required to have a valid GHS parking permit displayed in their front window.  Applications and payment should be turned in to Mrs. Hastings in the main office prior to driving to GHS.   More +
