Mrs. Joya Mitchell
Mrs. Mitchell is a 1995 graduate of Lake High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a focus on Special Education from the University of Toledo. Upon completion of her degree she began her teaching career at Cuyahoga Falls High School and remained there for five years. Mrs. Mitchell continued her educational journey by attending the University of Akron and earning a Master of Science (administration) degree in 2007. In 2005, Mrs. Mitchell transitioned from Cuyahoga Falls High School to Hudson Middle School. She was an Intervention Specialist at HMS for nine years. Mrs. Mitchell was also the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Hudson High School for 14 years.
Mrs. Mitchell and her husband Sam have three children: Maddie, Riley and Aaron (AJ).
