Our goal in the Guidance Office is to assist students with any topic or issue they may be struggling with in school or at home.  Students are most successful with a partnership between the student, home, school and community.  We have gathered these websites on issues commonly faced by some middle schools students for exploration by students and their parents.

The info line is a great resource for times of crisis or need.  You can find anything from foodbanks, free hot meals, clothing banks, free and reduced medical and dental services, pregnancy services, and utility assistance.
 
Mental Health Disorders
This site was created for - and by - parents, educators, and clinicians working together to support children and teens with mental health conditions.  The site will help you meet the needs of young people with depression, bipolar disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorders, and anxiety disorders, including panic disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder.

Self-esteem and relational aggression for girls
We use these websites in our G.I.R.L.S. lunch groups and find them extremely valuable resources for young women.  The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty site includes mother-daughter surveys to complete together with your child.
