First Team All State Dan Fanelly Signs with Wooster
NEO In Land District Player of the Year and First Team All State Dan Fanelly signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Wooster College
 
Alex Neumann and Sean Fancher Perfect Attendance Leads Strength and Conditioning Program
In a note sent to Coach Cybak, Anthony Colarusso from Akron General cited Alex Neuman and Sean Fancher for perfect attendance in the Speed and Agility and Strength and Conditioning Program.  Alex and Sean are football players and lead about 10 athletes who have made at least 90% of the workout sessions.  Congrats men!  Way to step up to the challenge!!
 
Green All Sports Booster Club hires Stacy Messner as Administrative Assistant
At last night's May meeting the All Sports Booster Club hired Stacy Messner as a new Administrative Assistant.  Stacy is a recent graduate of Malone University where she earned her degree in Sports Administration.  She has been interning in the athletic office this year.
 
Josh Pritchard signs NCAA National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Mount Union
Josh Pritchard a 6'8" post player for the Green Bulldogs Mens Basketball team signed a NCAA National Letter of Intent to continue his playing career at Mount Union College. Josh is pictured here with Head Coach Mark Kinsley and Assistants Dan Harlan and Bill Bridenthal.
 
Green All Sports Booster Club purchases new softball scoreboard.
The Green All Sports Booster Club donated $10,000 towards a new softball scoreboard at the Green High School Softball Field.  With the help of the school and Virgil Kline expertise the Athletic Department was able to secure and put up this board for $5500 saving the club $4500. This board new and installed by a scoreboard company would cost $30,000.
 
Jenna Elliot having impressive Freshman Year in Tennis at Evangel University in Springfield Missouri.
Jenna Elliot and her doubles partner won the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central-West Region tournament championship to qualify for the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships.  They represented the Central-West Region and placed 5thout of the 8 regions represented at that tournament in Mobile, AL.  
Outstanding Orthopaedic Surgeon to join Green Team Doctor Staff
Jovan R Laskovski, M.D. Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Arthroscopic Surgery of the Hip, Shoulder, and Knee will join Dr. Goff as a Team Doctor for the Green School Athletics as part of the Summa Health Care training package.

 
Lisa Pafford to join Green teaching staff and become the new Head Volleyball Coach for girls.
Lisa Pafford a dedicated and experienced teacher will be joining the high school staff as the new health teacher and the Green Athletic Department announces will become the new Head Volleyball Coach.
 
Nick Fernandez named new Head Girls Soccer Coach
The Green Board of Education approved the hiring of Nick Fernandez as the new girls head soccer coach at Green High School.  Nick comes to Green from St. Thomas Aquinas High School where he was the boys head varsity coach.
 
Green High School Announces New Athletic Hall of Fame
Green High School is announcing a new Athletic Hall of Fame. On Sept. 13 and 14 Green High School will induct the inaugural class of the Green Athletic Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame festivities will start with a tailgate reception at the home football game on Sept. 13, 2013.
 
Strength and Conditioning Program Picking Up Steam
Dennis Robart Director of Strength and Conditioning at Green High School along with Amanda Kephart and Anthony Colarusso are announcing great strides in the new strength and conditioning program.
 
Mandy Gamble Interrupts Outstanding Coaching Career.
Although she will not be far away from her soccer ladies as Coach Gamble will continue to teach science here at Green High School, it will be a whole new role for her next fall.  Mandy Gamble has interrupted her outstanding coaching career as the head girls soccer coach at Green High School to attend to her new born son and his siblings and to finish her education as a school counselor.  Coach Gamble's career at Green spans a ten year period starting in June of 2003. 
Dan Fanelly named First Team All State and NEO Inland District Player of the Year
Head Basketball Coach Mark Kinsley announced that Dan Fanelly was recently named First Team All Ohio by the Associated Press.  Dan who earlier had been named as North East Ohio Inland Player of the Year was tapped as first team all state on this past Monday evening.   
Morgan Estes Wins Third State Title and named First Team All America
 Congratulations go out to Olga Branney and Morgan Estes who competed at the State Indoor Track Meet on Saturday.  Olga placed 10th in the High Jump  and received second Team all American.
Morgan Estes won her THIRD State title in the pole Vault and recieved first team all American honors.  Morgan is the first athlete in Green to win three state titles.
 
Green Athletic Department Announces Winter Character Counts Awards
Character Counts is a prestigious award given to one member of each team every season who best exemplifies the attributes of character, leadership, maturity, and has shown respect and concern for their teammates, school, and community.  Here is the list for the winter 2013 season:
 
Megan Woods Signs at Olivet Nazarene University for Soccer
Head Soccer Coach Mandy Gamble announces that Megan Woods has been tapped by Olivet Nazarene University to play soccer next fall.  Megan is pictured here signing her NAIA Letter of Intent Scholarship papers with Athletic Director Bruce Johnson and her parents.
 
Athletic Department Announces New Leadership Team Members for 2013-2014
Athletic Director Bruce Johnson announces the addition of 8 new members to the Green High School Leadership Team!   New members include Morgan Suponcic, Tarah McClausland, Nina Vaccaro, Nick Reale, Katie Racco, John Davies, Austin Mariniak and Eddie Pearce.
 
Green Announces New Strength and Conditioning Program
The Green Athletic Department announces a new comprehensive strength and conditioning program in cooperation with Akron General Health and Fitness.   This program is designed to bring a DI college type of strength and conditioning program to Green High School.
